How the research works, where the data comes from, what it costs, and what we do with your information.

The basics

myArbitrator is an AI-powered FINRA arbitrator research platform built for plaintiff-side securities attorneys. It holds over 24,000 FINRA award documents spanning more than two decades, indexed by arbitrator, so you can see how each person on your panel list has actually decided cases before you make your strikes.

Attorneys who represent investors in FINRA arbitration. Applicants confirm that at least 65% of their practice is pro-investor work. If you represent broker-dealers and wirehouses, this is not for you, and we will not approve the account.

Submit the registration form. We review every application by hand and reply within one to two business days. Once approved you sign in with a one-time email code, or a passkey if you set one up.

How it works

Upload the arbitrator disclosure list FINRA sent you. We read the PDF, extract every name, pull each arbitrator’s disclosure record, and match them against the full case database. Within seconds you have each arbitrator’s case history, claimant win rate, award amounts, and background. For the arbitrators that matter most, you can order an AI Deep Dive.

Every arbitrator on your list, structured from their FINRA disclosure and cross-referenced with the awards they have signed:

  • Total cases decided, by case type and claimant profile
  • How often they award damages to claimants, and how much
  • Chair versus panelist performance, and the trend over time
  • Employment history, education, and industry affiliations
  • Disclosed conflicts and qualification flags

An opposition-research dossier on a single arbitrator. Our AI searches thirty-plus public databases at once: voter registration, party affiliation, FEC donations, property records, business filings, court records, bar history, social media, and news. It returns a claimant favorability rating, a strike-or-keep recommendation with reasons, bias indicators, and custom voir dire questions. It is priced per arbitrator so you only run it on the people who will decide your case.

Yes. The About page has a sample Arbitrator Report and a sample Deep Dive you can open in the browser, and a short overview video.

The data

Every FINRA arbitration award published since 2003. We extract the panel from each award document, resolve name variations into a single profile per arbitrator, and compute the statistics FINRA does not publish: claimant win rates, average award size, punitive and attorney-fee patterns, dissents, and how each arbitrator performs as chair versus panelist. The public FINRA Analysis pages show the aggregate picture.

Yes. FINRA arbitrator disclosure reports and award documents are public records. We aggregate and analyze that public data to surface patterns that would take days to compile by hand.

Directionally reliable, not gospel. FINRA publishes awards as PDFs with no consistent structure, and older awards are scanned paper run through OCR. Every statistic is derived from automated extraction against that text. Ambiguous or badly scanned awards can be miscategorized or dropped. Treat the numbers as intelligence for panel selection, and verify individual awards before relying on them in a filing. Any missing data is our fault. Bad PDF and OCR data is FINRA’s fault.

Expungement removes a complaint from BrokerCheck. It does not remove the award document from our database. If your respondent has had complaints expunged, we can show you the original claims, the amounts at stake, and how the panel ruled.

Ratings

Approved attorneys can rate arbitrators they have appeared before on fairness, preparedness, alertness, knowledge of the numbers, and claimant friendliness, plus a would-use-again verdict. Ratings are stored anonymously. Your email is never attached to a rating, and only aggregate scores are shown, after a minimum number of ratings has been reached. The public summary is on the Ratings page.

Pricing

myArbitrator runs on tokens. You buy a package and spend tokens as you use the platform: uploading arbitrator lists, viewing profiles, running case reports, and ordering Deep Dives. The cost of each action is shown before you confirm it, and tokens never expire. Packages range from a one-time trial that covers a single panel upload and a handful of Deep Dives up to a virtually unlimited plan for high-volume practices. Existing myArbitration clients get myArbitrator at no additional charge.

No. Packages are one-time purchases. Buy what you need for the matter in front of you and top up when you need more.

Fuck Face Fred

Fred Rosenberg is a PIABA member who posted what we regard as slander, untruths and lies about us on the PIABA forum. We asked PIABA to correct the record or discipline him. It did neither. His writings, emails and court filings are documented at fffred.info, so you can read them and decide for yourself.

Because PIABA’s leadership let the falsehoods stand, we deny PIABA members the use of myArbitrator and all our other services until PIABA takes appropriate action. We are sorry about it. We built this tool to help you win for wronged investors. But PIABA decided Fred’s lies mattered more than the truth, and we will not pretend otherwise.

If you are a PIABA member and want access, you have three options. Write to the PIABA Board of Directors and tell them what their inaction is costing you. Pay the $500 “Fred” tax. Or submit a waiver request with an answer we find acceptable. All three are on the PIABA page.

Privacy

We collect your email to verify that you are a member of the plaintiff’s bar, plus the firm details you provide at registration. We do not sell, share, or disclose your information to anyone, including FINRA, the SEC, arbitrators, or other law firms. Our servers are located outside the United States. The full privacy policy has the details, and you can request deletion of your account at any time.

No. Your searches, reports, and Deep Dives are private to your account. Nothing is published, and nothing is shared with the arbitrator or with FINRA.
